Ashton is the Operations & Warehouse Assistant at The Paving Experts and a valued member of the team, known for his calm, cheerful approach and the essential role he plays in keeping daily operations running smoothly.
Based in our warehouse (a.k.a. the engine room), Ashton ensures products move in and out efficiently, safely and on time — day in, day out, come rain or come shine.
With a strong sense of responsibility and pride in his work, Ashton helps ensure customers, contractors and colleagues alike can rely on the warehouse as a well-organised and dependable hub at the heart of the business.
Operations & Dispatch
Ashton oversees the preparation and dispatch of orders, carefully selecting the most efficient and cost-effective delivery methods — from courier services and DHL to a full pallet network. He wraps, packs and prepares bags, tubs and pallets with precision, ensuring every order leaves the warehouse secure, tidy, and well presented.
His attention to detail helps minimise delays and issues, supporting smooth delivery and a positive experience for customers at every stage.
Customer Collections & Stock Handling
As the friendly face behind customer collections, Ashton makes sure orders are ready on time and handed over with professionalism — usually accompanied by a smile. When new stock arrives, he checks deliveries carefully for damage or discrepancies and liaises promptly with suppliers to resolve any issues, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
Safety, Organisation & Standards
Ashton takes real pride in maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment, reflecting the high standards of The Paving Experts brand. He also looks after tools and machinery, ensuring everything is kept in good working order, including managing forklift maintenance and annual LOLER inspections. Safety is always a priority.
Beyond the Warehouse
Outside of work, Ashton is a devoted family man with his partner Luci and their baby son, Noah.
And when he’s not in the warehouse or at home, football isn’t far away. A lifelong Chelsea supporter, he watches and attends as many games as possible. Having once been scouted by West Bromwich Albion’s youth academy, he still has a mean left foot, tearing it up fast and furious on the right wing.
Fuelled — somewhat questionably — by junk food, Ashton is famous for starting his mornings with a pot noodle and biscuits, proving that dedication, loyalty and a strong work ethic matter far more than a balanced breakfast.
