UltraScape Flowpoint Charcoal is a flowable paving and patio grout ideal for filling the joints between all types of paving slabs & setts. Perfect for use on granite setts, sandstone, traditional limestone, porcelain, Indian Stone, Yorkstone and concrete slabs. The patio pointing mix comes in a handy 25kg bag, is simple to mix with water and a large bucket, is fast to apply and is rapid setting meaning your patio is pointed far quicker than using traditional methods of pointing and jointing slabs. The grout is simply mixed and poured over the paving slabs, then washed off after an initial 15 minute setting time to produce robust joints which stop weeds in their tracks!

What is Flowpoint Paving Grout?

Flowpoint is a flowable, fast set, external paving grout which is ideal for filling the joints in patio flags, paving slabs, terraces and pavements. Once cured it prevents weeds from growing between slabs.

How long does Flowpoint last?

When applied correctly, Flowpoint slurry paving grout can last beyond 20 years without the need to grout the paving again.

How long does Flowpoint take to set?

After mixing, Flowpoint external paving grout can take as little as 15 minutes to set (temperature is 20oC). However, as a rule of thumb – the hotter the temperature, the faster Flowpoint will set, in colder temperatures it’ll take a little longer for Flowpoint to set.

Is Flowpoint grout permeable?

No, Flowpoint is non-permeable, cementitious-based grout – meaning it doesn’t allow water to pass through it once set.

Can you use Flowpoint in the rain?

Yes, you can use Flowpoint in light rain but ensure the paving joints don’t fill up with rainwater. Applying Flowpoint on a damp day can actually be beneficial, because it can stop the wet slurry from setting too quickly. Use a leaf blower to blow any excess water from the joints.

How Good is Flowpoint Grout?

What is the Shelf Life for Flowpoint?

Shelf life from date of manufacture printed on the bag, unopened in the above conditions, for sealed bags is 8 months. Please note: the use of this product after the end of the declared storage period may increase the risk of an allergic reaction.

How many bags of Flowpoint Paving Grout will I need for my patio?

There isn’t an exact number of Flowpoint bags needed per square metre, it depends on the size of your slabs, the width & depth of the joints, and the total square meters of your patio. 

As a general rule, for larger format paving slabs 600mm x 900mm; with joints 5mm x 20mm you’ll use one bag of Flowpoint per 30m2. For a mixed project pack of sandstone slabs you’ll need approximately one bag per 10-15m2, granite setts & irregular cobbles use more Flowpoint due to their size and depth – you’ll typically need one bag per 1.5-2m2.

To more accurately determine how many bags of Flowpoint you’ll need, a few details are needed –

1. Joint width (mm): The space between the paving slabs or stones.
2. Joint depth (mm): How deep the joints are.
3. Paving area (m²): The total area to be grouted.
